APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT ON MEDICAL IMAGE PROCESSING AND 3D VISUALIZATION

Application development on medical image processing using Insight Toolkit (ITK). It is an open source platform, dedicated to medical image segmentation and registration. ITK is a cross-platform system that provides developers with an extensive suite of software tools for image analysis.  Developed through extreme programming methodologies, ITK employs leading-edge algorithms for registering and segmenting multidimensional data.

Visualization Toolkit (VTK)  is an open-source, freely available software system for 3D computer graphics, image processing, and visualization. It consists of a C++ class library and several interpreted interface layers including Tcl/Tk, Java, and Python. VTK supports a wide variety of visualization algorithms. VTK has an extensive information visualization framework and a suite of 3D interaction widgets.
